the truck with the rest of my stuff arrives in 5 days, so until then, I'm roughing it in this big, empty house on a luxury air mattress with s fridge full of food and a belly full of takeout when cooking just doesn't make sense 🍕🍔🍲

after a 28 hour drive, 2 good nights of sleep, and a shower, I've finally arrived in Texas 🇨🇱

sorry I haven't been around - this move is kicking my ass! I live in a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house in San Diego, and I'm sitting here now, in a barren room on the hardwood floor, writing this. The movers came 2 days ago, and the cleaners came yesterday, and both were full of surprises. The movers wouldn't pack the few things we'd left for them to do, so we rushed to pack them or post them on Craigslist for people to take. They were misinformed about how much stuff we had, so they ran out of boxes and tape halfway through the day, and had to use all of mine! The cleaners were better but they also didn't estimate the right amount of labor hours for a house of this size. I'm not sure where the breakdown in information came from but it's a 3500 sqft house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a separate mother-in-law suite with its own bathroom and kitchen. We told them and they were astonished! An extra day of cleaning was needed and she's here now, finishing that suite now. I'm now packing this Uhaul trailer attached to my car so we can head off to Texas soon. Who knew I'd be doing so much physical labor over the past few days? We actually were supposed to leave yesterday but stayed an extra night on an inflatable bed just so we werent ded by the time we arrived! I'm exhausted and there's still a 20 hour drive ahead of me. Wish me luck! 🍀

I'm taking a day off from packing to relax and sleep in and play videogames. it's been so rainy here and it's hard to wanna pack on such a dreary Saturday so I'm just gonna sit around and do nothing! what about you?

taking things to the dump and to goodwill

as I was packing up to leave the airbnb, I got a weather warning for flooding 💦 I scurried out of there because we were at the top of the peak and it was only gonna get worse for the lower levels ad the water poured down. I missed a bunch of mini landslides and saw "chocolate milk" running down the roads. it's pretty intense but I'm glad I got out without fucking up my car!

had a going away party 🥳 what a lovely way to say goodbye to all my friends here in San Diego

heading off to a friend's house to help her move in weeks before I head off to move to Texas. who doesn't like #burping while you #drive and drink #coffee?

everyday I pack 3 more boxes and I'm that much closer to moving. today is a chill day where I enjoy my time off and open the window to listen to the rain 🌧

honestly love MLK Jr day, I just forgot it was happening and made a fool of myself at the post office! oh well, at least I ran my errands picking up medication and going to the grocery store. then, a little treat before trying to send packages 📦 😭

went to a boujee restaurant in San Diego, trying to hit all the coolest spots before I leave. I ate some of the most amazing food I've had in SD - Realm of the 52 Remedies is totally worth it.

I'm moving soon so I'll do my best to post but I'm not posting everyday like I usually do.... I'm sure you understand moving to a different state 🥵 it's a lot of work but I'm not disappearing, I'll be back making almost daily content again in February!

my hair is always so poofy and crazy when I'm air drying it after a shower!

it rained a lot yesterday and the leaves are just piling up so I decided to rake a little. you wouldn't know it but I filled both greenwaste containers and I still have 2 full sides of the house to tackle! I love working in the garden, otherwise this task would be a LOT 🍃 🍂
