sorry I haven't been around - this move is kicking my ass! I live in a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house in San Diego, and I'm sitting here now, in a barren room on the hardwood floor, writing this. The movers came 2 days ago, and the cleaners came yesterday, and both were full of surprises. The movers wouldn't pack the few things we'd left for them to do, so we rushed to pack them or post them on Craigslist for people to take. They were misinformed about how much stuff we had, so they ran out of boxes and tape halfway through the day, and had to use all of mine! The cleaners were better but they also didn't estimate the right amount of labor hours for a house of this size. I'm not sure where the breakdown in information came from but it's a 3500 sqft house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a separate mother-in-law suite with its own bathroom and kitchen. We told them and they were astonished! An extra day of cleaning was needed and she's here now, finishing that suite now. I'm now packing this Uhaul trailer attached to my car so we can head off to Texas soon. Who knew I'd be doing so much physical labor over the past few days? We actually were supposed to leave yesterday but stayed an extra night on an inflatable bed just so we werent ded by the time we arrived! I'm exhausted and there's still a 20 hour drive ahead of me.
