Physics, on the other hand, is the science of the fundamental laws that govern the behavior of matter and energy. It deals with the study of the physical world, including the behavior of particles, the nature of waves and fields, and the relationship between energy and matter. 🧬⚡️

Sodium hydroxide and Potassium hydroxide are both strong bases with similar properties, but they have different applications and are used in different industries! 👩🏻🔬
Sodium hydroxide: A white solid that is highly soluble in water. It is widely used in the production of soaps, detergents, and bleaches, as well as in the manufacture of paper, textiles, and petroleum products. It is also used in the food industry as a pH adjuster and a preservative! 🧼🔖
Potassium hydroxide: A white solid that is highly soluble in water. It is commonly used in the production of soaps, detergents, and personal care products. It is also used in the manufacture of fertilizers, explosives, and rubber.💥
It’s important to remeber to use extreme caution when handling these as they are highly alkaline! 🥽👩🏻🔬
When choosing safety goggles for chemistry, it is important to pick goggles that are specifically designed for use with chemicals!! 🥽👩🏻🔬
These goggles should be made of a durable material, such as polycarbonate, that is resistant to chemical splash and can withstand high temperatures🔥
The goggles should fit securely and comfortably over your eyes, with a good seal around the edges to keep chemicals out! ❌🧪
In addition to wearing safety goggles, it is important to follow other safety protocols when working with chemicals, such as wearing appropriate protective clothing, using gloves, and following proper handling and storage procedures!🧤🥼🥽
Why are test tubes so important in the lab? 🧪
They’re used for a wide range of purposes!!:

Tis’ the season to finally start using menthol again!
Menthol is a chemical compound, it’s found naturally in peppermint. Like most chemical compounds it can also be made up in a lab!👩🏻🔬
Rather than using menthol in my skincare, I generally use it in my shower steamers to help open my sinuses during the cold winter months.🤧

DID you know…that water expands when it is frozen? It is the only non metallic substance that does this.🧊
So when frozen, water is less dense than when it is in liquid form, but it expands by about 9%.

Melt and pour soap is fun because it has already been through the saponification process, therefore it does not need to cure and is immediately ready to use!🛁
