"ENGINEERING, FULL POWER TO THE ENGINES!" The reactor core roars to life. The Fusion Pulse Engines flare, and G-Forces hit everyone on board before the artificial gravity kicks in. Gunners take to the laser turret and send flares of red into the void towards the attacking ship, even as enormous bolts of plasma surge at the Rabbit's Foot from the enemy's twin-linked cannons. Both blasts vanish into infinite space. You're moving too fast to hit them, but that's a two way street. With the engines at full bore, you're buying yourself time for the leaders to get out. Officers, the crew looks to you for tactical instructions. There's a few things you could do here: * Take evasive action. We're going to use the surrounding debris field to lead them on a wild goose chase. Don't focus on offense at all, just go go go. * Hit & Run. They have WAY more firepower than us. We need to take potshots and hope we wear down their shields while avoiding their fire. * Wounded Gazelle Gambit: These are raiders, right? They want to board us and take our stuff? That sounds like an invitation. Let them catch up with us, and we can go hand-to-hand with them. No idea how many are on that ship. Think we can take them?
