Our text for today’s lesson is therapist Nancy Friday’s book Forbidden Flowers. It’s a compilation of real women’s fantasies, along with her analysis of why the taboo and often disturbing subjects that we keep safely hidden in the secret corners of our mind actually turn us on. I’ll read to you one of the stories that has stuck with me for decades, and you might be surprised to hear how dirty it is! But that’s the thing about fantasies: they can be super perverted because they aren’t meant to actually happen. Of course, I don’t simply read the story.
